Hello and Welcome to the unofficial Countess Wear Cricket Club website moderated by Jon Heaver and Adrian Nash. With the 2008 season on us the Wear have been busy in the January Transfer window pulling off a real coup in signing former Exmouth batsman James Hope from Paignton, so welcome Hopey and look forward to some great banter over the coming season.

Also arriving at Winslade Park this season is Geriant Heath from Yelverton, who is a tidy bowler and Gurpreet Singh a recruit from the IPL - Welcome

Now to the new season and after last years wonderful exploits the expectation levels have been increased and i believe with both sides possesing quality players, promotion is a distinct possiability. As it stands there has been no departures from the teams of 2007, so the futures is promising.

Our Sunday XI are in Division 3 of the South Devon League. We are always looking for new players for our all our sides so, if you are interested in joining us, we can promise you a very friendly welcome and plenty of banter.
