COUNTESS WEAR PRE SEASON NETS ON WEDNESDAY EVENING AT WESTEXE SCHOOL 8PM - 10PM

Hello all, and Welcome to the 2010 season, hope everyone is well rested and looking forward to a summer of beer,cricket and plenty of banter

Pre Season nets have started really well for Wear with alot of new faces that seem to be very useful addition for the coming season

A couple of changes to the setup this year. Dave Harkness will continue to skipper the first team and will be looking to secure a top 2 finish this season after a poor finish to last season saw us just finish outside the relegation spots despite a couple weeks before being up with a shot of promotion, but with a few new faces to join the squad we are hoping for a successful season in the E Division. The 2nd team retained there place in C Division despite a struggle for players every week so that was a great achievement for Martin Bovey and his troops. Despite this Martin has decided to give up the captaincy this season with Owen "Smudge" Smith and Steve Channing taking over for the coming season and with the turn out at nets so far it is looking pretty good so far for a good first season in charge.

The Sunday side will continued to be skippered by Phil Irish after another promotion sees them playing in the Premier South Devon League with the likes of Exeter, Torquay and Brixham.

Chairman Bob Adams has sorted us a new kit this season. Follow the link and check it out. I think everyone will agree it looks really good with the trousers and will add that bit of professionalism to our game this year. Everyone will be provided with a club shirt upon payment of you subscription to play for the club which i believe is still £20 or £10 for students. Trousers, if people wish to purchase them are £6! which many of you will know is a bargain. I'm sure everyone will want to have these at that price but i gather we can only take advantage of these prices if we order in bulk so everyone get involved!
